Cassandra Watters.

Cassandra Watters

Research Lab Coordinator & Project Manager

Cassandra is a research coordinator in the IMPACT lab. She manages overall lab activities as well as coordinating research activities for multiple lab projects. After graduating from the University of Arizona in 2020, she worked as a Lab Coordinator in the Child Cognition Lab at UArizona. Cassandra then completed a fellowship at Ochanomizu University in Tokyo, Japan, investigating mental healthcare provider training in Japan. Her primary research interests include adolescent psychopathology and substance use prevention.

Clara Hill.

Clara Hill

Research Associate & Project Manager

Clara is a research associate in the IMPACT lab.  In addition to co-managing lab activities, she is the PI of the First Years Away from Home Handbook Dissemination project and the DBHR Prevention Fellowship. She also coordinates several other research and evaluation projects, including the CPWI Evaluation, mostly related to substance use prevention. Her academic background is in public health, with an MPH from the University of Washington, and undergraduate degrees in psychology and English literature, and her research interests include mental health promotion, early childhood development, and parenting across the lifespan.

Dr. Heather Terral.

Dr. Heather Terral

Research Associate & Data Analyst

Heather is a prevention scientist with a focus on health promotion and equity. She earned her MS and PhD in prevention science from the University of Oregon and currently lives in Portland, Oregon. She is also an experienced human services educator with a passion for supporting student learning and development, especially in research and methods. Her research at the policy-level has examined how racial, rural, and class disparities were present in policies informing Oregon school wellness environments.  She is currently supporting data analysis on the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative and the Culture, Longitudinal Patterns, and Safety Promotion of Handgun Carrying Among Rural Adolescents projects.
