Two sets of evaluation tools are available for those offering Building Strength through Coping:
- Fidelity checklists for each lesson (facilitator and observer forms) for describing the fidelity of program delivery.
- Participant pre-post questionnaires for evaluating the influence of the program on parenting practices and parenting self-efficacy. The parenting practices questionnaire is a shortened version of the “Parental Scaffolding Questionnaire” used in the two randomized controlled trials of the program described in the research section.1,2 The self-efficacy and fidelity questionnaires are the same instruments that were used as evaluation tools in these two studies.
