Human Development Club

The Human Development Club is open to all currently enrolled students who are committed to the field of human development. The club provides avenues for students to be involved and contribute to the community at large, as well as WSU Vancouver. The club encourages networking and support of students currently enrolled in human development courses.

Club Activities/Events

  • Home building with Habitat for Humanity
  • Make blankets for children experiencing trauma who are ill with Project Linus
  • Participate in MLK Day of Service
  • Create and donate humanitarian packages for homeless individuals
  • Collect undergarments for incarcerated women

Kappa Omicron Nu (KON) Honor Society

This honorary national fraternal association is available to human development majors and minors by invitation only. Each semester, faculty nominate human development majors and minors who exhibit leadership qualities, show professional promise, and excel in their coursework.

The Nu Mu chapter of KON on the WSU Vancouver campus supports the Gloria Hall Scholarship. Members serve as campus hosts for visiting scholars and provide leadership for department events such as the colloquium and the graduate school information panel.
