The Department of Human Development offers three minors:

Please note:

  1. Students must achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better in courses used to fulfill requirements for the Human Development and Early Childhood minors.
  2. A minor in Human Development may be certified after the completion of 60 semester hours, and with departmental approval.
  3. Students who major in Human Development are NOT eligible to also minor in Human Development.

What to do:

  1. See the department secretary (Johnson Tower 501), ask for and fill out the form "Application to Complete a Second Major or Minor." Leave the completed form with the secretary.
  2. The form "Application to Complete a Second Major or Minor" will then be "Authorized" by the department and sent to the Registrar. The Registrar's Office will process the information, and send the department updated copies of your transcript.
  3. You may, if needed, make an appointment with the department faculty who advise minors.
  4. When the required coursework has been completed for the minor as evidenced on your final transcript, the department will file the form "Certification of Completion of Major or Minor" with the Registrar.
