Lower Division prerequisite courses and alternatives for transfer or substitutionIt is expected that all students, regardless of the campus on which they plan to complete the degree, will have a background in human development before beginning upper division human development courses. The four required lower division courses and alternatives for completing the content requirement are outlined below. NOTE: Students without these courses may enroll in HD 340 and HD 204 during the first semester of enrollment at WSU. Students may take HD 346 and HD 305 in later semesters.
1) All community college courses have been reviewed by HD during the process of creating Articulation Agreements, and are equivalent to the respective course. New courses are being added and will appear in updates of the transfer equivalency tables. 2) These are known on-line equivalent courses. Others will be added as they are reviewed and known to HD. 3) A Pre-HD advisor at DDP will work with the new student to submit course descriptions, course outlines or other documentation for review of a course that may be equivalent for the respective HD lower division requirement.
